The Duchess of Cambridge Is Pretty In A Pink Coat

Confirming rumors that had been circulating for quite a while on the subject of the royal couple attending the Cheltenham Gold Cup, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made a very pleasant, (and certainly stylish,) appearance at on  Cheltenham Gold Cup Day.

The couple arrived just in time to cheer on Mike Tindall's horse, Monbeg Dude who participated in the Gold Cup Steeple Chase. (Mike Tindall is the husband of Zara Phillips, Prince William's cousin and Catherine's in-law.)

For those of you who aren't familiar with the festival, here is some background information, taken from http://hrhduchesskate.blogspot.com/.
"The first flat race meeting in Cheltenham took place in 1815 on Nottingham Hill, with the first races on Cleeve Hill in August 1818. Racing's popularity soared over the next decade with crowds of 30,000 visiting the Racecourse for its annual two day July meeting featuring the Gold Cup, a 3 mile race. In 1964, Racecourse Holdings Trust (now Jockey Club Racecourse) was formed to secure the future of Cheltenham."

Catherine looked, as usual, completely stunning - this time in a dusky pink coat by Joseph, Stuart Weitzman Zipkin boots (currently reduced from $635 to $445) and her favorite Lock & Co Betty Boop hat, which she's worn on St. Patrick's Day in 2012 and to a wedding in Switzerland recently. I love the rich, brown, color and the combination of pink and brown is always very appealing to me.

She also re-wore her coat, which at first glance looked like a new addition to her wardrobe.

A photo has surfaced, however, showing the Duchess wearing the sixties-styled piece before her marriage.

She carried a Natasha bag by Emmy Shoes in a brown Cornelia James gloved hand. The glove has a pretty side bow and I think that it adds perfect flair to the assemble.

Duchess also wore an additional piece from Kiki McDonough - a pair of the beautifully crafted ‘Eternal’ Citrine Cushion & Diamond Earrings. She likes to wear jewelry from this brand quite often, and this pair of £1,200 earrings. Thery are described as:

"Sophisticated and chic, these beautiful yellow gold drop earrings dazzle with vibrant citrine and diamonds, and are equally stunning worn casually during the day or to add drama to an evening look."

Other pieces of jewelry worn by the Duchess in this particular outfit include the same watch she wore for a walk in Switzerland a while back. She also appears to still be wearing her gold ring with garnets and rubies on her right hand.

Prince William studies the program while Catherine watches the race from over his shoulder.
