Shoppers in the town of Holt in Norfolk got a surprise when the Duchess of Cambridge turned up to do some shopping today.
Catherine is second from left in this photo, taken by @Ginger Ben1979 at Twitter.
She spent the afternoon browsing in local shops that included Byfords. The store stocks a numerous selection of product including cakes, desserts, ready meals, cheese (a favorite of Catherine), olives, and speciality bread.
The Duchess may have enjoyed some lunch in Byfords cafe, which has been described as the perfect place to unwind. The menu has international influence, and uses fresh, local, seasonal ingredients presented in a quirky café style.
Catherine has been known to visit the town before, perhaps familiarising herself with the shops as the Queen has reportedly given Anmer Hall on Her Majesty's Sandringham Estate in West Norfolk to the Cambridges. There are renovations taking place at the property at the moment, no doubt up-scaling security as ensuring the couple's privacy is a priority.
Catherine also popped into Mews Antique Emporium, containing antique furniture, clothing, books and collectables. Kate is definitely a fan of antiques and is regularly spotted antique shopping with her mother Carole in Berkshire. She was seen leaving in a Range Rover, smiling and waving to well-wishers.
I love all of Catherine's causal looks, but today's outfit was a special favorite. The Duchess has stayed pretty slim lately, so she has been rewearing favorite pieces. On this particular date, she wore her purple Ralph Lauren cable sweater, a piece she has worn on a number of occasions including shopping trips in Anglesey in 2011.
She also wore her Really Wild waistcoat and jeans.
The stylish bag that we saw her carry has been identified as Tod's D-Styling Bauletto Leather Tote. The bag features double top handles, detachable and adjustable shoulder strap, stitch detailing on body of bag and gold-toned protective feet. It is available in a variety of colors at My Theresa.
