The Duchess Attends Art Room Reception

Catherine continued a busy week of engagements this evening by attending a reception at the National Portrait Gallery celebrating the work of her patronage The Art Room. The Art Room works with children to increase their self-esteem, self-confidence and independence through art. The reception marked the organisation's 11th anniversary and the launch of the Pledge For the Future Appeal. Over several hundred people and fifty members of the media turned up to the event.

The Duchess talked with children who have benefited from The Art Room and professionals who work with the youngsters.

Catherine chose a sleeveless pale blue dress by Emilia Wickstead for the reception. The empire line frock is very much a 1960s inspired piece and I think it's the most beautiful maternity wear garment the Duchess has worn thus far, it's a custom made piece and the color is simply darling.

Other pieces that have been worn by Catherine have been altered, but this is one of the first times she has worn a maternity piece, and I think it suits her extremely well.

The Duchess chose to match her dress with these beautiful grey suede Rupert Sanderson 'Malone' pumps. I think that this is my favorite pair high-heels that Catherine has worn so far, and the color is just lovely.

A look at Catherine's exquisite earrings.

I normally don't pay a lot of attention to Catherine's hair, but had it done so prettily today I couldn't resist. The half-up, half-down style is classic, and tastefully combined with the occasion.
